Illinois Sociological Association
Welcome to ISA
Welcome to the website for the Illinois Sociological Association. This site is and will be constantly updated.
We just completed our 2011 Conference at Carl Sandburg College, in Galesburg, Illinois.
ISA President GW Douglas did an excellent job organizing the conference and Carl Sandburg was an excellent host.
The conference was well attended, with over 65 people attending in some capacity, including a number of students.
The 2012 Conference will be held back at Heartland Community College with Doug Dowell as the host.
The ISA Board thought a return to that site would be beneficial to the organization as the 2010 conference had one of the highest rates of attendance for ISA conferences.
Mark your calendars the conference will be on November 2, 2012. We are on for another exciting conference at Heartland Community College.
Bruce D. LeBlanc, Professor of Sociology and Psychology at Black Hawk College, assumed the ISA Presidency at the 2011 ISA Boards meeting.
Look for a call for nominations as we have two board positions open.
